Pederson's first homer came on an 0-2 sweeper in the first, his second a three-run sinker in the second — four RBI in two innings off Kirby, who was gone after four. Rocker struck out seven, walked two, and allowed two earned in 6.2 innings, throwing 57 of 88 pitches for strikes. Seattle's three runs came on a solo homer from Arozarena, a Julio Rodríguez sacrifice fly, and a Crawford fly ball in the ninth — and the Mariners were behind for every one of them. Texas scored in the first three innings and stopped needing to.
