Andy Pages homered in the first on a 77 mph sweeper and singled in a run in the fourth, and by the time Shohei Ohtani doubled at 111.2 mph in the sixth, Los Angeles had all the runs they would need. Eric Lauer threw six innings of one-hit shutout ball to get the win. Emerson Hancock gave Seattle five innings but allowed eight hits, and the Mariners' two late runs came against Tanner Scott and Edwin Díaz, not against Lauer, who'd held them to one hit.
