Ryan Weathers and Sean Burke combined for thirteen innings of shutout baseball before either bullpen blinked, and the first run didn't cross until the tenth. Burke struck out ten in six innings on 91 pitches for Chicago, and Weathers gave New York seven innings of three-hit ball. The game turned in the eleventh, when Fernando Cruz walked two and hit a batter, and Tristan Peters drew a bases-loaded walk on a 3-0 count to end it. Spencer Jones hit a fly ball at 109.8 mph in the second that traveled 318 feet and settled into a glove, and in a game that finished 1-2 in eleven innings, that was the loudest thing either side did all night.
