Two hits, one run, nine innings — Minnesota's entire night, bottled up by Noah Cameron for eight frames and Steven Cruz for one. Cameron threw 106 pitches, 74 for strikes, struck out nine, and walked one. Michael Massey broke a 1-1 tie in the 7th with his ninth home run, off an 89.8 mph cutter from A.J. Minter. Kyle Isbel had driven in the first Kansas City run on a sacrifice fly in the 5th, scoring Massey. Dean Kremer pitched five innings for Minnesota, gave up three hits and one earned. A.J. Minter absorbed the loss — one inning, one hit, one earned. Steven Cruz retired the side in the 9th on 16 pitches, striking out one, for the save.
