Ernie Clement's ninth home run of the season went to left field with a man on in the 10th, and that was the ballgame. Hunter Brown had given Houston six innings with eight strikeouts and a 3-2 advantage when he departed, and the bullpen held it until the extras. Bennett Sousa came in for the 10th and gave up the Clement blast — two runs, two hits, and a loss. Yordan Alvarez singled at 114.8 mph in the bottom half to bring one run home, but Nathan Lukes threw him out at second to end the threat. Houston had ten hits and left seven on base. Toronto had five hits and made them count. Chase Lee needed five pitches, all strikes, to close it.
