The Orioles scored in the first and then went quiet for eight innings. Jackson Holliday homered to right on a 97.2 mph fastball for the only run Baltimore produced, and deGrom gave up three hits, walked one, and threw 55 of 88 pitches for strikes across five. Kyle Bradish matched him for six innings and took the loss, because the run that put Texas ahead came on a fielder's choice in the second and the runs that ended it came off Grant Wolfram in the eighth. Corey Seager's three-run homer to right center was a 94.9 mph sinker hit at 107.7. Baltimore committed two errors and scored once on six hits.
