Jac Caglianone's line-drive single to right in the seventh scored Bobby Witt Jr. and sent Caglianone to second on the throw — his fourth RBI of the night. He had already homered in the fifth and singled in two in the third. Nolan Schanuel matched him with four RBI on a three-run double and a run-scoring single, but the Angels could not answer after the seventh. Seth Lugo and Grayson Rodriguez combined for eight and two-thirds innings and gave up eight runs, and the last three frames belonged to the bullpens. Tayler Saucedo faced three hitters, gave up two hits, and took the loss.
