Brett Callahan tripled for the first time this season and drove in two in the second, and the White Sox spent the night climbing back. Detroit built a lead on Callahan's triple and a Max Clark single — three runs in the second — and Colt Keith homered in the third to make it four. Drew Romo's two-run shot in the fifth started the Chicago answer, and Colson Montgomery singled in a run in the sixth to tie it. Tyler Holton took the loss when the White Sox got to him for three runs in the seventh — Munetaka Murakami's two-run homer was the swing that put Chicago ahead. Sean Newcomb covered the last 2.1 innings without allowing a hit and got the save. Detroit left seven on base in a game they led by three.
