Three hits were all Cleveland could manage against Casey Mize, and nobody after him made it any easier. Mize went six innings, struck out three, walked one, and threw 86 pitches before handing off to a bullpen that threw three clean innings. Luis Rengifo and Gavin Sheets both homered in the second off Tanner Bibee — Rengifo on a sinker, Sheets on a changeup — and that was more than enough. Jase Bowen hit his second home run of the season in the eighth, and Jake Cronenworth added one in the ninth. Cleveland finished with three hits and five left on base, shut out at home.
