Toronto collected 17 hits and left 11 on base, and still scored 10. Kirk's two-run homer in the third gave Toronto the lead, and his RBI single came in a fourth where both clubs scored — Toronto two, Tampa three. Soriano gave those three back but lasted into the sixth, and the Blue Jays kept adding: Okamoto in the fifth, Josh Smith's two-run shot in the seventh. Martinez left in the fourth charged with six earned on nine hits in 3.2 innings.
