Victor Bericoto's ground-ball single in the fourth broke a scoreless tie, and Parker Messick struck out ten in six and two-thirds and lost. Adrian Houser gave five clean innings, and Dylan Smith struck out five over two to finish the shutout. Cleveland left eight on base — six hits that never crossed the plate, in a game where one run would have flipped the scoreboard. Bericoto's single came on a first-pitch 86.6 mph changeup, and two overturned ABS calls didn't change the score.
