Christian Walker jumped a 1-0 knuckle curve in the sixth and sent it to right center, scoring Daulton Varsho and giving the Astros the lead they kept. Cole went six and gave up three — two on Walker's bat — and that was enough to lose on a night when Wesneski matched him and the bullpen behind him gave up two hits across four innings. Jeremy Peña went yard in the seventh. George Lombard Jr. legged out the first triple of his season in the loss.
