The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

The fifth inning is where it went, and it went for six. Matthew Liberatore left with two on and a two-run lead, and Hancel Rincon inherited the frame that buried him — four earned runs on two hits and a walk. Iván Herrera's two-run homer in that same inning left the bat at 107.2 mph and traveled 443 feet, and by the time it ended Colorado had scored six. Joshua Báez had opened the scoring in the second with a 422-foot homer, his seventh, and St. Louis did not lead again after the fifth.
