Eduardo Rodriguez gave Arizona six innings of one-run ball after the 1st, and the bullpen held. Peter Lambert matched him through seven — 98 pitches, six strikeouts, three earned — and left with the game at 3-1. LaMonte Wade Jr. singled home Jose Altuve in the 8th to bring Houston within one, but Kevin Ginkel struck out the side in the 9th. Alvarez's 38th of the year was the first run.
