Both Boston home runs came in the second inning, on consecutive at-bats, and they decided the game early. Duran went deep first — 425 feet, 111.7 mph off the bat — and Rutschman followed with a three-run drive at 112.1 mph that cleared right field with Kiner-Falefa and Anthony aboard. Rodriguez threw 82 pitches in four innings, walked four, and left with five earned against him. Bello needed 103 pitches to get through five, struck out seven, and allowed nothing, and the Angels did not score until after he left.
