Schlittler allowed three hits across seven innings, struck out ten, and walked nobody — 68 of his 96 pitches were strikes, and the only run he gave up was earned. Heliot Ramos's three-run homer in the eighth, a 77.9 mph curveball he drove 402 feet to center, gave New York the cushion it needed. Brennan Bernardino came in after Schlittler and faced three hitters without recording an out, all three scoring. David Bednar needed three pitches, all strikes, to end it, and Hunter Goodman's 37th home run was the last scoring play of the night.
