De La Cruz's liner in the third was the hardest contact of the night — 117.4 off the bat, 192 feet, one RBI — but Cincinnati could not hold the leads its offense built. Brady Singer walked five and allowed eight earned in four innings; Milwaukee's Kyle Harrison gave up four earned without recording an out. William Contreras's three-run homer in the fourth was the swing that decided it, and Juan Brito's second of the year came two batters later. The Brewers did not trail again after that inning.
