Denzer Guzman's two-run single in the fifth was the hit that put the game out of reach — but only barely. Reid Detmers went six innings with eight strikeouts on 95 pitches for the win. Cal Raleigh's three-run homer in the fourth, his 22nd, had cut a 4-0 lead to one. Ben Joyce walked two in the ninth and still closed it without a hit.
