Munetaka Murakami hit a 94.6 mph sinker 423 feet to center field in the first inning, and that was the ballgame. Three runs on one swing, his 32nd, and Detroit spent the rest of the night unable to answer. The Tigers had eight hits and left ten on base — Gleyber Torres grounded into a force play in the third to score their only run. Framber Valdez struck out eight but walked four, and Grant Taylor covered the last two and a third innings for the save.
