Taylor Rogers pitched an inning and two-thirds, struck out four, allowed one hit, and lost the game on a run that was not earned — the kind of line a pitcher carries home and stares at. Joe Ryan left after five innings with a 3-2 lead, and the Twins' bullpen handed it back in the eighth when Adam Frazier's two-run double on a line drive to right tied the score at five. Vaughn Grissom forced extras with a home run in the ninth, and Ryan Kreidler's home run in the fifth left the bat at 113.1 mph. The Angels stranded fifteen runners and still won, which is not a strategy so much as a refusal to stop hitting.
