Rhett Lowder gave up five earned in three innings, and four of them came in the 3rd: Nico Hoerner forced in one with a bases-loaded walk — but only after he challenged the call and got it overturned — and Pedro Ramírez followed with a two-run single. The Cubs led 5-0 before Cincinnati settled in. Pete Crow-Armstrong hit his 45th, a two-run shot to center, and Seiya Suzuki's 25th left at 108.9 mph and traveled 440 feet. David Peterson gave up three hits and one run in six innings, and the Reds had four hits all night.
