Amaya's 2-run double in the 2nd gave the Cubs a 3-0 lead, and they did not score again. Adley Rutschman's 2-run single in the 5th tied it. Connor Wong's line-drive double to left in the 7th, his 12th, brought Roman Anthony home with the go-ahead run. Raymond Burgos threw two innings of no-hit relief for the save, striking out three. Aaron Civale took the loss — 2.1 innings, three hits, one earned. The Cubs left eight on base and did not score in the 9th.
