Colorado scored first on Connor Norby's sac fly, and then Randal Grichuk hit a two-run homer at 111.5 mph off the bat — 408 feet to left — and Brenton Doyle followed with a two-run shot of his own. Four runs on two swings, and Anthony Kay made it hold up: five innings, five hits, one earned. Kyle Freeland took the loss with four innings and seven hits. Cole Carrigg's 12th homer in the eighth got Colorado within two, but they had six hits and left six on.
