Geraldo Perdomo's two-run homer in the fourth, on a 95.2 mph fastball at 0-2, was the only damage Arizona managed against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who threw 95 pitches over six innings and struck out six. The lead lasted until the next half-inning, when Andy Pages drove a knuckle curve to left center for three runs, and Taylor Clarke faced four hitters in the fifth without retiring any of them — three hits and four earned runs in a third of an inning. Will Smith's two-run homer in the seventh, 418 feet to left center, was the last of the Dodgers' eight runs, and Arizona did not score again after the fourth.
