Arizona led after the second on Alek Thomas's double, lost it in the third on Mookie Betts's three-run homer, and tied it in the fourth on Thomas's second double of the night — a two-run liner to right. The game stayed tied through the seventh before Alex Freeland doubled and Kyle Tucker singled him home in the eighth, and that one run decided it. Edwin Díaz walked one and struck out two in the ninth, and Arizona's six men left on base never reached home.
