Corbin Carroll tripled in the first and hit a three-run homer in the second — four RBI before the game was an hour old. Justin Verlander lasted 3.2 innings with five earned runs and one strikeout. Michael Soroka followed with five innings of relief, ten strikeouts, and no runs, and then the seventh happened. Joe Ross gave up five hits and six earned runs in 0.2 innings, and an 8-0 lead became 8-6. Ryan Thompson could not record an out — one hit, two walks — before Juan Morillo ended the inning. Paul Sewald pitched a clean ninth. Carroll's home run left the bat at 107.8 mph and traveled 403 feet.

The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed.
