Three errors made a hard night worse, and the White Sox never recovered from a four-run fourth inning that turned a 2-0 lead into a deficit. Erick Fedde gave up four runs in five innings, and Liam Hicks's two-run double was the blow that put Miami ahead to stay. Janson Junk held the White Sox to two runs over 4.1 innings, and Chicago trailed from the fourth on.
