Brandon Young threw 66 pitches in five innings — two hits, no runs, two walks, two strikeouts — and left with a 1-0 lead on Tyler O'Neill's fourth-inning RBI single. Gunnar Henderson's sixth-inning home run, his third of the year on an 89.6 mph cutter, made it 2-0. Erick Fedde took the loss despite six innings of two-run ball: 86 pitches, five hits, one walk, four strikeouts. Tyler Wells and Rico Garcia covered three clean innings between Young and the ninth.
