Houston collected 17 hits and left 13 on base, and still lost by one. Luis Castillo gave up 10 hits and 7 earned runs in 3.1 innings — and took neither the loss nor the win, because the night had more turns in it than any starter's line could hold. Taylor Trammell's three-run double in the 2nd was the swing that pulled things even, and Julio Rodríguez's first home run of the season, a two-run shot to center in the 5th, put Seattle ahead. Bryan Abreu walked three in the 9th and gave up the run that decided it. Andrés Muñoz walked two in the same inning and still got the win.
