Ketel Marte homered in the first and again in the third, both solo shots, and for two innings that was enough. Arenado went deep twice for Baltimore — a two-run shot in the fourth, his first of the year, and a three-run blast in the sixth, his second. The swing that broke it open was Jackson's grand slam in the sixth, scoring four on one swing. Alonso's two-run homer in the seventh gave Baltimore the lead for good. Helsley needed twelve pitches and struck out two in the ninth. Kremer struck out nine in five innings and didn't factor in the decision. Suárez got the win in two innings of relief.
