Matt Chapman's lineout in the fourth left the bat at 108.1 mph — the hardest contact San Francisco managed all night — and traveled 137 feet. Spencer Steer and Sal Stewart hit solo homers off Robbie Ray in the third and fourth, and Willy Adames answered with one in the fifth, and that was all the scoring. Brady Singer gave up one run on six hits in six innings without a walk. Emilio Pagán needed seven pitches for a 1-2-3 ninth, six of them strikes, and the Giants managed seven hits and one run.
