Coby Mayo's second home run of the season left at 110 mph and traveled 452 feet into left center — a three-run shot in a sixth inning that scored six for Baltimore and three for Kansas City. Michael Wacha had thrown 89 pitches to carry a 3-2 lead through five. He left with six earned in 5.1 innings and the lead gone for the third and final time. Kansas City answered with three in the bottom half, Carter Jensen's sixth homer among them, but two runs is what remained, and the Baltimore bullpen let it sit there: Tyler Wells threw 10 pitches to record five outs, and Anthony Nunez struck out two in the ninth.
