Victor Scott II's first home run of the season came in the 3rd, a solo shot on a 1-2 curveball. By then St. Louis already led on Nolan Gorman's 4th homer in the 2nd. Pittsburgh collected 13 hits and scored 7 and still lost by 4. Braxton Ashcraft needed 87 pitches for 13 outs and took the loss. Kyle Leahy gave up 9 hits and 3 earned in 5.1 innings and got the win anyway. Oneil Cruz hit his 9th homer in the 6th.
