Colorado scored five runs in the first inning — four consecutive RBI hits and a groundout that scored two more on a throwing error by Matt Olson. The Braves were down five before they had batted twice. Grant Holmes gave them five innings and kept it there, and the bullpen put up zeros: Anthony Molina, Didier Fuentes, Robert Suarez. Mauricio Dubón's triple in the eighth, a line drive to right that cleared the bases, tied the game. It was his second triple of the year. Matt Olson had homered in the fourth to start the climb back. Jonah Heim's groundout in the seventh made it 6-4, and the eighth was all Dubón. Juan Mejia took the loss — two walks, two hits, two runs in the ninth. The Rockies had six hits through the first inning and two after that.
