Drake Baldwin homered in the first on a 90.4 mph sinker, singled in a run in the second on a 78.6 mph curveball, and doubled home another in the fourth — three at-bats, three pitch types, four RBIs. Chris Sale threw 102 pitches in seven innings, 70 of them strikes, struck out 11, and allowed three hits. Jordan Beck's RBI double in the third on a 79.0 mph slider was the only run Colorado could manage, and it came after Atlanta already had three. Brennan Bernardino recorded two outs and took the loss; Chase Dollander absorbed six earned over 5.1 innings behind him. Austin Riley's two-run homer in the fifth made it 7-1, and Matt Olson's 11th of the year in the ninth closed the scoring.
