Janson Junk gave the Nationals six innings with a lead attached, and through seven the night belonged to the starter. Then Mitchell Parker entered for the eighth and surrendered five runs on five hits — Jakob Marsee's three-run homer to right field the loudest of them — and a game Washington had led since the first was gone. Parker needed 39 pitches for three outs, and the Nationals went down in order in the ninth.
