Paul Goldschmidt homered on the first pitch he saw — a 93.9 mph four-seamer — and the Yankees added four more in the third. Cody Bellinger's forceout scored one, Amed Rosario's single scored another, and Trent Grisham's three-run homer to center on a 3-2 count made it 6-0. Trevor Rogers gave up six earned in four innings and took the loss. Will Warren went 5.2 and left with a 6-1 lead. Baltimore scored once in the sixth on consecutive hits from Samuel Basallo and Tyler O'Neill, then never scored again. Josh Walker, Yennier Cano, Andrew Kittredge, and Tyler Wells combined for five scoreless in relief.
