The last lead change was a ground ball to short — Brayan Rocchio's 6-3 in the seventh scored Steven Kwan from third, and Cleveland's bullpen covered four innings without allowing a run. Spencer Torkelson's two-run homer in the second had answered Kwan's sac fly, and Travis Bazzana's second homer of the year in the fourth put Cleveland back ahead. Cade Smith struck out three in the ninth for the save with two singles mixed in. Detroit left 10 on base and lost by one.
