the out it made (1, 2, or 3), in that runner’s box
2‑4 a runner retired on the bases (caught stealing, picked off), written small in his box as the chain that got him
one dot per run driven in (RBI)

A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Manny Machado's two-run homer in the first answered the Athletics' early lead, and the Padres spent the rest of the evening climbing past them. Henry Bolte's RBI single in the fourth put the Athletics ahead again, but Nick Castellanos tied it with a solo shot in the fifth, and Ramón Laureano's homer in the seventh gave San Diego the lead for good. Gavin Sheets's two-run single in the eighth, on a sharp ground ball to left, made it 7-3. Jeffrey Springs took the loss with four earned over 6.1 innings, and Adrian Morejon struck out three in 1.1 clean innings to earn it.
