A forceout, a double, and two home runs came in the third inning — Randy Arozarena's two-run double, Luke Raley's two-run homer, and Dominic Canzone's two-run shot, one after another. Aaron Civale took the loss with 73 pitches in four innings. Luis Castillo started and Bryce Miller won it in relief, five innings of two-run ball on 83 pitches. The Athletics managed seven hits and scored twice, and Shea Langeliers's thirteenth home run of the year in the eighth was the loudest of them.
