Piñango's second homer of the year, a Springer RBI single, and Sánchez's grand slam — 108.7 mph off the bat, 394 feet — all came in the sixth off Sandy Alcantara, who threw 95 pitches across 5.2 innings and allowed eight earned. Spencer Miles threw 4.1 innings of one-run ball on 66 pitches for the win, and three Toronto relievers allowed one hit between them. Hernández's fifth-inning single scored the Marlins' only run, and Alcantara left with two outs in the sixth having allowed ten hits.
