The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? Cole threw 79 pitches — 59 for strikes — and the Royals managed four hits against him and two relievers who did not allow a baserunner. Ben Rice hit his first triple of the season in the fourth, a sharp line drive to left on a 92.9 mph fastball, and came around on Aaron Judge's sacrifice fly to right. Noah Cameron matched Cole for five innings and gave up two earned, but the seventh is where Kansas City broke: Nick Mears walked two and allowed three earned in two-thirds of an inning, and Paul Goldschmidt drew a bases-loaded walk to force in a run. Mason Black gave up two more over the final two innings, and Fernando Cruz and Camilo Doval each threw a clean frame behind Cole.
