Colorado committed four errors and won. José Fermin faced six batters in the eighth inning and retired two of them, and the five runs that scored on his watch turned an 8-4 Angels lead into a 9-8 deficit. Hunter Goodman's three-run homer left at 112.9 mph — the hardest contact of the night — and came two batters after Kyle Karros's double started the inning. Kirby Yates took the loss having thrown nine strikes on ten pitches. Jorge Soler's first triple of the season was part of a five-run third that put the Angels ahead. The lead lasted five innings.
