Noah Cameron threw seven innings of one-hit baseball, struck out eight, walked nobody, and did not get the win — because the bullpen behind him surrendered a three-run lead one run at a time. Spencer Steer homered in the fifth and again in the eighth, two solo shots, and Will Benson went deep off Lucas Erceg in the ninth to tie it. The Royals left eleven on base, five hits all night. Blake Dunn's line-drive single to right in the tenth scored Steer. Andrew Abbott gave up three earned in six innings on 105 pitches and kept Cincinnati close enough.
