Ohtani struck out six, walked one, and threw 58 of 89 pitches for strikes — Arizona managed two singles and nothing else against him. Kyle Tucker's two-run homer in the second, a 107.6 mph shot off a 94.4 mph fastball that traveled 424 feet, was the only scoring the Dodgers needed. Freddie Freeman singled home two in the third, Max Muncy added one, and Alex Freeland singled home two more in the seventh. Zac Gallen took the loss, giving up nine hits and four earned runs in five innings.
