Landen Roupp threw 98 pitches to get through five and two-thirds, and the only run he allowed was Pete Crow-Armstrong's sixth-inning answer to Rafael Devers. Devers had just put San Francisco ahead with a ball off the bat at 108.6 mph; Crow-Armstrong tied it on an 0-2 sinker before the inning was over. In the ninth, Matt Chapman's sacrifice fly gave the Giants the lead again, and Crow-Armstrong answered again — a first-pitch splitter to right field. Sam Hentges took the loss in the tenth on five pitches, the run unearned, scored off San Francisco's lone error.
