An 86.3 mph changeup left Henry Bolte's bat and landed in right center field with Jonah Heim on base — Bolte's first home run of the season, and the hit that put the Athletics ahead to stay. Tyler Soderstrom's two-run shot in the 5th stretched the lead, and J.T. Ginn's 5.2 innings of five-run baseball was just sturdy enough for Mason Barnett, who struck out four over two clean innings for the save. Robert Gasser took the loss with six earned runs in five innings. Four innings after his first career home run, Bolte misplayed a single to center for an error — the ball that let Christian Yelich take second base and David Hamilton take third.
