Fourteen runners left on base is the kind of number that usually costs a club the game. Los Angeles made it work because Mitch Keller needed 98 pitches to get through four innings and walked four. Shohei Ohtani's 13th home run started the scoring in the third. Rafael Flores Jr. hit his first major league home run in the fifth — 108.7 mph off the bat, 440 feet to center — and that was the last run the Dodgers needed. Pittsburgh scored twice in the eighth and got no closer. Tanner Scott recorded the final four outs.
