the out it made (1, 2, or 3), in that runner’s box
2‑4 a runner retired on the bases (caught stealing, picked off), written small in his box as the chain that got him
one dot per run driven in (RBI)

A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.

Canzone had not tripled all season, and the one he hit in the second — a sharp fly to center, two runs in — was the swing that turned the night, coming two batters before Colt Emerson homered to make it five runs off Littell's 56 pitches in 1.2 innings. Miller did the rest: eight innings, no walks, seven strikeouts, 91 pitches, four hits. James Wood's home run in the fourth left at 111.5 mph and traveled 416 feet, the hardest ball of the game, and it cut the lead to 5-1 — as close as Washington came. Canzone hit his 10th home run in the eighth, and Rucker threw nine pitches to end it.
