Jac Caglianone's 404-foot home run in the fifth gave Kansas City a 6-2 lead that looked safe until Matt Strahm came in for the eighth and faced four batters without recording an out. Three runs scored on two hits and a walk, and suddenly it was 6-5, and Alex Lange needed four pitches to get the final out. Seth Lugo went six innings, allowed one earned run, and struck out nobody — zero strikeouts, 85 pitches, and a win. Michael Massey's RBI single in the fourth, the one that came with Nathan Church's throwing error attached, was the margin.
